About
Dr. Siry is a Deputy Director for Technical Services, Research Centre for Marine and Fisheries Socio-Economic (RCMFSE) Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and lead negotiator on ocean dimensions on UNFCCC process. He holds PhD on coastal zone management from the Australian National University.
He was a Planner with the Agency for Marine and Fisheries Research (AMFR), Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), Indonesia. He holds a Bachelor in Marine Science from the University of Riau, Indonesia and a Masters in Urban Environmental Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Upon completion of his Bachelor, Mr. Hendra began working for the Directorate General of Regional Development(DGRD) – Ministry of Home Affairs to support the promotion of policies for regional development through institutional strengthening and facilitation processes. In 2001, he was transferred and appointed as Head of Program Development Section at AMFR. In this post, his duties include arranging and synchronizing research programs and budgeting among the research center and research unit components within the MMAF. He has been intensively involved in facilitating and supporting the planning and implementation of research projects
on marine and fisheries.
